Laurren was born and raised in Long Beach, Calif., the youngest of a family of four. Following a summer art scholarship at Los Angeles Design Center, and some exotic globe trotting, she returned to achieve her BA in Fine Arts at San Diego State University, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and received a "Distinction in Art" award. Thereafter, in the 80s and early 90s Laurren lived and worked out of a her loft-space studio in the heart of San Diego's fabled Gaslamp District she produced acclaimed works, dared forward in the west-coast bohemian undercurrent. Laurren now lives in No Name Colorado, and has nestled her studio to open toward the seasonal woods of Glenwood Canyon and its Colorado River.
